E-mail.. such a blessing and a curse.

E-mail has become a necessity of modern communications, but with the spread of Unsolicited Commercial E-mail (UCE), fondly known as spam, E-mail has become a burden. However, you shouldn't have a web site without a corresponding E-mail address, any more than you should have a telephone without a number. We can make your E-mail life a little easier.

If your we site is hosted by inrail, we can provide e-mail addresses at your domain name. These mailboxes on our server give you a few layers of defense against spam.

• First, each incoming E-mail is checked for viruses
• Then, each incoming E-mail is ranked for probable spam content.
• You can then set filters on the server that process E-mail with a certain spam ranking, either diverting them into a spam box that you can review later, or deleting them altogether.
• You can also set filters to process messages based on full E-mail addresses, or by only the domain name. Again, they can be processed into a spam box, deleted, or, if the sender is someone you trust, sent to you regardless of content.
• Each mailbox can be configured individually to reflect the needs of the recipient.
• Each of the processes listed above occurs on the server so that you don't even download the unwanted messages to your computer, minimizing download time, keeping your inbox clean, and reducing the risk of viruses.

Access to you mailbox is easy to configure in any E-mail client, including Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, Mozilla (Firefox/Thunderbird), Netscape Navigator, Opera or any other.

In addition, you can access your E-mail from any computer with a web browser and internet access. This is a handy feature when you are not at your regular computer, or if you are using a web enabled device.
